Hotel’s and SPA

Given the current economic and environmental context, many buildings with intensive thermal energy consumption are forced to seek alternative, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly energy sources. Hotels are examples of such buildings, as they have a high demand for hot water for baths, saunas, and other facilities. In addition, electricity consumption in rooms, common areas, and recreational facilities is significant, and some hotels even have heated pools, which significantly increases energy. consumption.

The Challenge: A High-Energy Demand Complex

Our journey begins with a Hotel & Spa boasting 90 rooms, 2 indoor pools, and 3 heated outdoor pools. This complex had a staggering annual energy consumption of 5,114,733 kWh, primarily attributed to the need for heating, electricity, and hot water. Without intervention, this translated to a substantial annual cost of 306,000 euros and an environmental burden of 920 tons of CO2 emissions.

Solutions: A Sustainable Approach

Facing these energy challenges head-on, SCIVEN evaluated the complex’s needs and devised a comprehensive solution. The proposed approach involved integrating a heated pool system comprising a boiler and cogeneration technology.

The Results: A Remarkable Transformation

The implementation of SCIVEN’s sustainable solution yielded outstanding results:
Savings: With SCIVEN’s intervention, the Hotel & Spa complex achieved annual savings of 147,000 euros. The negative sign denotes not just cost savings but also profitability, thanks to the reduction in energy expenses.
Emissions Reduction: The complex’s carbon footprint saw a significant decline, with -920 tons of CO2 emissions annually. This reduction is particularly noteworthy as biomass emissions are considered neutral due to its renewable source.

SCIVEN’s Expertise and Innovation:

SCIVEN’s role in this transformation was instrumental:
Comprehensive Solution: SCIVEN provided a tailored solution that integrated a heated pool system, ensuring optimal energy utilization.
Cost Savings: The intervention led to substantial cost savings, making the complex more economically viable.
Environmental Responsibility: By reducing emissions, SCIVEN’s solution contributed to a greener and more sustainable future.

Conclusion: Pioneering Energy Efficiency

This case study demonstrates SCIVEN’s capacity to transform energy-intensive complexes, delivering substantial cost savings and environmental benefits. The Hotel & Spa complex serves as a prime example of our commitment to excellence, environmental stewardship, and customer satisfaction.
